I am a Director at the East Cambridge location. My usual work day is greeting all the parents and checking in with staff. My goal everyday is making sure everything is running smoothly for the day.
My favorite part about working with Rock and Roll Daycare is how our administrative team works together and builds a better foundation for the company.
I think I have more of a Democratic management style. I always make time to listen to everyone before making any decisions to ensure that all are heard and understood before a decision is made.
Having a functional location that is in compliance and where staff are happy is what inspires me.
Having to deal with a staff member who continually brought their personal struggles to the workplace. I dealt with it by having a personal conversation about the emotion she was bringing to the classroom based on what was happening outside of the space. I explained that her emotions were affecting the environment in a negative way, and that in order for the children to truly learn from her, she needed to help create a positive and loving environment.
I really like going to different restaurants around Boston with my friends.
I take a step back and try to evaluate the situation again and think of another way to solve the problem.
Support.
Going on bike rides with my friends in Hyde Park.
Every New Year’s Eve, my family and I eat lobster.
Married with 4 kids and working for Rock and Roll Daycare.
My greatest professional achievement is becoming the Director of RRDC East Cambridge.
Alongside the leadership skills, I also gained a family.
