I am a Preschool consultant and Lead Teacher at Lechmere. My day starts in the morning by setting up the classroom to welcome children, I prepare a healthy hearty breakfast and usually an Art activity and receive all children. My favorite time of the day is Circle, we come together and create magic by talking, sharing, listening and presenting new ideas! I continue to work with children during the morning work period encouraging them to try new projects and furthering their knowledge.
During the second half of my day I aid teachers at other centers in planning for curriculum, and work closely with the directors to help them guide teachers and set up beautifully functioning classrooms. I help to provide updated and appropriate resources such as work ideas and projects, books, lesson plans, cultural studies and teaching strategies.
The creative freedom allowed by RRDC motivates me to come to work every day!
I love traveling, in the past year I have been to France, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, NYC, DC and more! I also love watching movies and meeting my teacher friends outside of work.
Children, Art, Teachers, and Traveling.
I feel Yellow, bright and happy, as well as Blue, calm and cool, going with the flow.
I feel like a Monkey in the mornings because I entertain children, and a Sloth in the evenings!
I cook food and like to indulge in relaxing activities like Yoga, going to the salon and catching up with my family and friends who mostly live outside of America.
Zip lining in Costa Rica.
Sunday morning breakfast, every Sunday.
I see myself in a remote corner of the world, working with children and teachers, dancing to music I’ve never heard before.
I wrack my brain all day about how to disseminate information from my head about early childhood education and development all the while, inspiring new teachers.
Through my work at Rock and Roll I gained interpersonal skills, communication skills, management and leadership skills, I owe a lot to my work here.
